Q: How do I apply for Housing?
A: Download copies of the Application Overview, Application and Resident Profile (for Student Housing) from our website www.yourforesight.com and after reading the information return the completed forms to the Management Office along with the application fee. The completed forms and fee may be mailed or sent by an overnight delivery service to the property management office. Please make the check or money order for the application fee payable to Foresight Management.
 
Q: Do I need to see the property before I submit my application?
A: Yes. In almost every case we require that you tour the property and unit before you complete an application and pay the application fee. Any exception is made at our sole discretion.
 
Q: Can someone help me with the application forms?
A: Of course. If you have a question or need assistance completing the application, please call of office and ask the manager or leasing agent to assist you. The office number for each property is available on our website.
 
Q: Am I responsible for paying the rent for the entire unit?
A: If you are applying by yourself or with a spouse or significant other, then yes you are responsible for paying the full amount of the rent on the first day of the month. If you are a student and have applied to rent an exclusive space along with one or more roommates, then you are only responsible for your specific rent based on your lease. As a student with a separate lease, you are not obligated for the rent or lease of another roommate.
 
Q: If I am a student, how do I find a roommate?
A: If you are a student and you elect to share a unit with one or more roommates you are encouraged to find a fellow student to become your roommate. Your school may provide help meeting potential roommates. Each student roommate must qualify according to the terms of the leases. If you do not have a roommate, you are still welcome to become a resident and we will assign the best available student roommate available according to the Resident Profile(s) that each of you provide.
 
Q: Can I change units or roommates if I want?
A: Matching roommates is not a science and it is possible that some roommates may have conflicts from time to time. You and your roommates are responsible for working out any problems or differences by yourselves. If as a last resort you must relocate, we will try to accommodate your needs subject to your paying the related fees and costs associated with executing a new lease; however, we reserve the sole discretion to authorize a move after you execute your lease.
 
Q: Are the units furnished?
A: Not all units are available on a furnished basis. If you are applying for student housing, then we provide basic furniture and you will not need to bring other furniture or buy furniture once you move in unless you wish to and all of your roommates agree that it is appropriate. Please contact the leasing office for details.
 
Q: Are utilities included in the rent?
A: Each property is different so please contact the leasing office for details.
 
Q: Are internet and cable television services provided?
A: Internet service and cable television (including premium channels) are not included at most properties. Some properties offer WiFi connection for individual accounts. Please contact the leasing office for details.
 
Q: Is there security in the building?
A: We can not guarantee “security” at any property. As a courtesy to our residents, we do offer gated access, controlled entries, closed circuit cameras and/or night time patrols to enhance your safety at select properties, but everyone must always employ common sense, be careful and follow reasonable steps to protect themselves and watch out for their neighbors.
 
Q: Is parking available if I have a car?
A: Most buildings have limited on-site parking available. Some areas of Los Angeles and Hollywood have very limited parking on-site; however, there are public and private parking lots available within a short walking distance from most properties. In many cases, we have arranged for discounted rates for off-site parking spaces for our residents. Please contact the leasing office for information about the property that you are interested in.
 
Q: Is there public transportation available?
A: In most areas of Los Angeles and Hollywood public transportation is available within a few blocks of the property. There are buses and subways operating throughout the city are regular hours.
 
Q: Is there a laundry facility on the property?
A: With few exceptions you will find a room with enough washing machines and dryers to accommodate the regular needs of the residents. Some machines are coin operated and others require a pre-paid card that is available in the leasing office or laundry room. Some complexes may offer a washer and a dryer (or connections) within the unit.
 
Q: Are there recreation or study facilities on the property?
A: While each property is different, an effort is made to provide some open space, activity area and/or study room at each community. The charm of many historic buildings in Hollywood is there urban characteristics. Renovated older properties in the city may offer limited on-site amenities due to their historic life and it such cases we cooperate with private gyms and clubs in the neighborhood to offer our residents discounted monthly rates.
 
Q: May I have a pet?
A: At most properties we do not allow pets. Please contact the leasing office to determine the pet policy at the community you are most interested in.
 
Q: Do I need renter’s insurance?
A: You are encouraged and should seriously consider obtaining renter’s insurance to protect your personal belongings and personal property.
 
Q: What if I loose my key or need maintenance assistance?
A: Details about key replacement and maintenance are discussed in the Resident Handbook which you will receive when you move in or may refer to on-line at our website.
 
Q: What is there to do for fun?
A: Los Angeles and Hollywood offer a wide variety of activities with something for everyone. Some information about places to go, things to do, entertainment, parks and more is available in the Resource area of our website. Some properties provide packages of information about current activities in the lobby or leasing office. The staff is always a reliable resource, so please feel free to stop by the office and ask for recommendations.
